Liz "LizHoo", has been owner of 9Round Charlottesville since 2024. As a long-time member, she fell in love with the 9Round workout and close community of the Charlottesville studio and its trainers. When the prior owners announced they were closing the gym, 9Round had become such an important part of her life that she bought the business! Growing up in Roanoke with 4 brothers, she was always athletic. She participated in various sports but excelled in ballet which became her primary endeavor outside of school. Unfortunately, her ballerina days left a legacy of disordered eating and overtraining which took many years to overcome. She says "My experience has given me a heightened awareness of harmful influencers in the health industry and the many forms of self-sabotage. I love that 9Round's mission makes fitness accessible to all levels, with strength and improvement as its core foundations." When she's not at 9Round, you can find this busy woman working her other job as Controller for a local family office, watching UVA sports, tending to her gardens, or hanging out with her chihuahua-mix, Bruno. She looks forward to meeting you and watching your fitness journey unfold at 9Round Cville!

Kellie “Grit” is a native of Charlottesville who has been serving in the fitness industry for over 15 years. She started as a 9Round member to mix up her workouts and sneak in some cardio. She was quickly hooked on the family atmosphere, killer workout, and seeing results she didn’t know were possible. Kellie joined the 9Round C'ville team in 2015 as a trainer and has been a manager since 2017. She is a 9Round Certified Master Trainer, Kickboxology certified, and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. In the gym, her passion is the opportunity to have fun, train, and witness first hand the transformation members achieve, both mentally and physically. Outside of the gym, Kellie has a passion for travel, photography, and the ocean, having led marine conservation expeditions in the past.

Rachel “Renny” has been at 9Round Charlottesville since the gym first opened in 2014. As a trainer and studio manager, she enjoys learning kickboxing techniques and helping members improve their skills. Rachel is an ACE certified personal trainer. She is a boy mom and therefore understands how applicable fitness is to everyday life and the importance of getting a quality workout in. She loves that a 9Round workout is efficient and effective (only 30 minutes and at your convenience with no class times!). She appreciates the feeling of empowerment that comes with punching and kicking the bags and has gained a level of confidence she never knew she had. She’s ready to help you do the same! Fun fact: Her fighter name "Renny" means 'small and mighty' in Irish Gaelic, and that's exactly what she is!

Erica "Enforcer" has been a trainer since 2021 and a member since 2018. Originally from Baltimore, she grew up in the Northern Virginia area. After graduating with a Communications degree from JMU, work for GAP Inc and C-VILLE Weekly landed her in Cville and she has never left! She is now a local REALTOR with 6 years experience. Looking for a place where she could relieve the stresses of daily life, she found 9Round and never looked back! She says, "It is one of the best decisions I have ever made for myself both mentally and physically!". When she's not punching it out in the gym, training, or in her real estate world, she can be found spending time with her family. They like to be at the beach when they're not cooking together or cheering on the Steelers during football season! She looks forward to seeing you punching and kicking in the gym, and she will be ready to encourage you through those burpees!

Natalia "Natty G" grew up in Spotsylvania, Virginia and moved to Charlottesville to pursue a degree in Education at UVA. As a student, the flexibility of 9Round worked great in her schedule and she soon got hooked on the environment of the gym after joining as a member. The sense of community and encouragement at 9Round grew her love of fitness, and led her to join the 9Round C’ville team as a trainer in 2021. It has been a great outlet for her passion for fitness and overall health. Natty G still makes time to train members when she is not teaching in the classroom, and she is ready to guide and motivate you through every workout!

Quinn "Queezy" had her first workout in 2021 and has been in love with 9Round ever since! She chose her fighter name, Queezy, to remind herself how hard to push during a workout when trying to reach her goals. After being a member for a year, Quinn joined the training team. She works full time as an attorney, but loves getting in the gym to sweat and help members get a great, high energy workout! Queezy would love to burn it out with you!

Raegan "Incarnate" is a Virginia native who has always enjoyed combat sports as a form of exercise. She is a fan of fitness generally, but finds something cathartic about hitting things really hard while getting a great workout in! Before finding 9Round, she trained in mixed martial arts, Muay Thai, and traditional boxing. She started as a member at 9Round in 2023 and was quickly hooked on the easily accessible, efficient workout. In 2024, she took the leap and became a trainer. She appreciates how being on the other side of the hand pads has helped her with her confidence on and off the mat, and hopes she is doing the same for members.
